Venice, Verona and the Alps

Venice is my favorite city! It was so unique; there is nothing like that in America. Everyone wasn't kidding when they said the city is under water. There were only a few small streets for people to walk on, not for cars. Basically everyone owned a boat because that was the only transportation. The mail was even delivered by a boat. My favorite part of Venice was riding a gondola. It was so relaxing and a great way to see the whole city. After relaxing on the gondola, we shopped. There was so many interesting shops and great places to buy souvenirs. Venice was a great way to start off the weekend.
The next day we went to Verona. I wasn't sure what to expect in Verona. I had I never really heard anything about it but when I arrived it was beautiful. The first place we went to was the arena. It was similar to the coliseum but smaller. It was cool to see how they modernized it. They still use it today for concerts and plays. After the arena we went to see Juliet's house and of course rub her boob for good luck. Verona is another great place for shopping!
Sunday we went to Bolzano. It was beautiful there. It was different from all the cities we had been to, it was all nature. We took the ski lift to the top of the mountain and could see everything. It was an amazing view from the top. We ate at a great restaurant and thankfully our waiter spoke english. We got a good workout from hiking all around the alps. It was a great way to end the weekend.
