Our tour of beautiful Brescia

Ciao!

So far we have been in Italian language class for only two days but already I feel like I know so much! We are already able to say our names, where we are from, what we study, exchange contact information, and describe our cultural background. I have found that many f the students we have met are very friendly. While on our tour of the different city centers we ran into one student on the street and stopped to talk and say hello.

In the afternoon we had a chance to walk around and see the many squares and buildings. All of the history in Brescia is so impressive and I am so happy they are able to preserve it so well.
This is a clock they have in one of the squares. On the opposite side, facing the square, is a more detailed and intricate clock. However, even though it is beautiful, the people could not understand it and they wanted to have a clock where they could actually tell the time so they made this one on the buildings reverse side.

This is a simple picture of the city's post office. It is one of the more modern style building in Brescia.

This is a picture of the ruins. They used it as a place of worship but got destroyed because the people didn't see it as important when Christianity was pushed aside. The people began to take the marble and stone to build their homes. All around the city and in many home basements there are pieces with Roman    artifacts on them.

Even though we have not been here a week yet, there is not one thing I would want to change about Brescia. Everything is so beautiful I do not want to go home. Soon we go to the lake all of the people suggest so stick around for the update!

Arriverderci!
