We Made It!

Hi Everyone!

We made it to Italy in one piece and it is amazing! Brescia is such a cute city, rich in history and life. So far we have been able to ride our bike around the city center, shop for fresh groceries, see a couple of concerts, and begin to immerse ourselves in the culture.

Today, Sunday, I started out with a tip to one of the citys' churches and saw a piano recital by a Russian pianist. The show was great and afterwards they served food and wine for all of the guests. After that some of the rest of the group was able to meet up and we walked around the city to the European Market. This market is a once a year thing where there are many different stands representing different countries. There was an Irish stand, German, Israel, and many Italian stands which represented the different regions with meats, cheeses, and sweets.

Tomorrow we begin our first day of classes where, hopefully, I will be able to sharpen my Italian language skills. I will check back so you can see how well I'm doing!
